Middle East Expertise

For over a decade, I have had the great pleasure and privilege of contributing to U.S.-Gulf security. My expertise is on the monarchies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is comprised of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. 

My analyst career spans the U.S. defense industry, Arab media, and Washington think tanks. My commitment to the Gulf region and its wonderful peoples is enduring.

From 2017-2020, I provided regular television commentary for Al Jazeera Arabic, BBC Persian and i-24 News, enabling me to reach audiences across the Arab world, Iran and Israel. I am also the author of The Gulf Region and Israel: Old Struggles, New Alliances (Kodesh Press, 2020), which was published only weeks prior to the Abraham Accords. I am committed to dialogue with the goal of supporting any U.S. efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the broader Middle East.
